The name Panya comes from the Pali and Sanskrit word for wisdom — the kind that builds gradually, through practice and reflection. That idea shapes everything we do here.
We started in 2021 as an informal reading group in Sukhothai, working through papers and tutorials on machine learning. Over time, people kept asking if there was a more structured way to learn — something that didn't feel like a race, that included real feedback, and that was accessible in Thailand without requiring a move to Bangkok or abroad.
Panya AI launched as a proper school in early 2023. Since then, we've welcomed learners from across Thailand — career changers, curious professionals, and recent graduates — and helped them build a working understanding of AI development in English.
We stay small by intention. Smaller cohorts mean mentors can give useful attention to each person's work rather than generic feedback.
What we're here to do
We want AI development to feel approachable — not only to people in large tech centres, but to anyone in Thailand who is curious and willing to put in the time. We believe that understanding, rather than speed, is what carries people through to real capability.
Who you'll work with
Niran Prateep
Background in software engineering with eight years in data-focused roles. Designed the curriculum and still reviews learner projects personally in the foundations course.
Supansa Wongkham
Holds a master's in statistics and spent four years in NLP research. Leads the Machine Learning Engineering course and develops new project materials each cohort.
Krit Thanakit
Works as an independent AI practitioner and contributes to the Applied Generative AI course. Particularly focused on responsible use and practical application in small-team environments.

We describe each course plainly: what's covered, how long it takes, what you need to bring. No inflated expectations about what one course can do.
Learner data privacy
Personal information you share during enrolment is used only to run your course. We don't sell or share it with third parties for marketing.
Up-to-date content
AI moves quickly. We review and update course materials each cohort to reflect tools and practices that are actually in use — not just historically relevant examples.
Genuine mentor feedback
Feedback on your work comes from a real person who has read it, not a rubric-matching system. We keep cohort sizes small enough to make that practical.
Responsible AI teaching
Ethics and responsible use are woven into the curriculum, particularly in the generative AI course — not treated as an afterthought or optional extra.

We're transparent about prerequisites and will tell you honestly if we think a different starting point suits you better — even if that means starting with a lower-priced course.

The courses are taught in English because the global ecosystem of AI tools, documentation, research, and professional communities operates in English. Learning in that language from the start removes a friction point later.
We work with learners across Thailand — not only in Bangkok. Online delivery means location is not a barrier, and our mentor team is comfortable working with people across time zones within the region.
